Welcome
to Café Metro
Cafe Metro's recipe for success
began in 1981 with our first midtown New York City location at 530 Seventh Avenue.
Since then, we have grown to become Manhattan's favorite gourmet fast food restaurant,
serving the finest, freshest and most cutting edge food in Manhattan.
Our Record
Cafe Metro has been recognized in many publications including Restaurant News,
Crain's New York Business, The New York Daily News, and most
recently by the New York Post, who gave our sandwiches 3 Stars for outstanding
taste, quality and freshness.
Our Philosophy
Every member of the Cafe Metro family shares a single goal, and that is the complete
satisfaction of every customer. We pride ourselves on providing a high quality,
healthy dining experience without the use of chemical additives or preservatives.
Where are your restaurants located?
We have locations throughout midtown Manhattan, and plan to open more in the coming
year. For a full list of locations, see below.
Are you open for dinner? On weekends?
All of our restaurants are open seven days a week. Selected locations are also
open for dinner.
Commitment
To Community
 Café
Metro has been an intricate part of the New York community for over 20
years now. And in standing with being a part of that community everything
is done to help give back, especially to those who may be among the less
fortunate.
Café Metro is proud
to be the only “food on the go” establishment in New York City to help
support the Muscular Dystrophy Association through the MDA’s Shamrock
Program.
Over the last two
seasons Cafe Metro has raised over $25,000 and send dozens of children
afflicted with MD to summer camp as well as help them to afford state-of-the-art
wheelchairs that help them to better navigate their way through life.
Through food donations
for MDA’s corporate events and raising the money through our clients'
kind donations, Café Metro is determined to help Jerry’s Kids find a cure,
and we will continue to do so until there is no more need for Telethons
or Shamrock Campaigns. |

Café Metro is also
a proud supporter of Free Arts For Abused Children. Free Arts for Abused
Children is a non-profit organization dedicated to bring the healing powers
of the arts into the lives of abused, neglected and at risk children and
their families, and Café Metro is proud to be associated with such a fine
organization.

City Harvest is committed to feeding hungry people in New York City using
a variety of innovative, practical and cost-effective methods. Their primary
approach is to rescue food that otherwise would be wasted and deliver
it to those who serve the hungry.
At least one in five
New Yorkers will visit a soup kitchen or food pantry this year, according
to a survey released by America's Second Harvest. Even before September
11, over one million people in New York City were forced to rely on food
pantries, soup kitchens and shelters to feed their families. Post 9/11
surveys by City Harvest, Food for Survival and the New York City Coalition
Against Hunger reveal an average of 30% more clients relying on the city’s
emergency food network.
Café Metro is a proud
member of the family of food donors who contribute to City Harvest's efforts
to feed the hungry. To learn more about City Harvest, please visit their
website at www.cityharvest.org. |

During The Food Bank
of NYC’s annual “Go Orange” campaign to raise awareness for the cities
homeless, Café Metro joined forces with them to raise over $5,000 to feed
the cities hungry.
Through the donations
of our clients and the aggressive work of our in store teams we were able
to feed over 350 families who would have otherwise gone hungry on the
chilled streets of our city. We encourage you to visit The Food Bank of
New York at www.foodbanknyc.org
and see how you can help.
